Holistic Development in childhood education
Inspired by the best practices of IB Early year programme, Reggio emilia approach , Montessori pedagogy, EYFS and the theory of Multiple Intelligence, we have developed a comprehensive, dynamic and contemporary curriculum that prepare the young ones to go through the journey of life with complete confidence.
Our programme features activities and equipment designed for the development of gross and fine motor coordination. Hands-on activities that are appropriate for children at this age are planned and incorporated into our daily routines.
We celebrate individual uniqueness and encourage self-expression and exploration while building strong foundation.

Bellwether’s curriculum is grounded in current research and developments in the field of early childhood education. Our vision of the child as a competent learner has led to a strong child-directed curriculum model. Children are encouraged to learn about themselves and the world around them through investigation and discovery.
Children are nurtured holistically through various learning areas and their positive learning dispositions are also cultivated through teacher-facilitated learning experiences. The framework is not intended to provide strict rules about what must be taught. Rather, the framework provides guidelines for a holistic preschool education while giving educators the discretion to customise their curriculum according to the interests, needs and abilities of the children.
The Reggio Emilia Approach
Reggio Emilia approaches the young children holistically, taking the full child’s intellectual and emotional potential into account. The school’s child-driven style focuses on the freedom to express and explore ideas using movement, active listening, and hands-on activities.
Howard Gardner Theory of Multiple Intelligence
Dr. Howard Gardner of Harvard University suggests that everyone actually possesses nine different forms of intelligence to varying degrees. This means that we should not label children with a particular learning style or intelligence, since they have them all! In fact, knowing about this pedagogical theory can help educators understand human learning in a whole new way.
Montessori Pedagogy is based on observations and discovery of Maria Montessori. After many hours of observing them she prepared activities that help every child in their development. She discovered that if children work in a carefully prepared environment, they are more concentrated and have better self-control. Didactic tools in montessori designed to help the development of the mind, concentration, coordination, independence, socializing and sense of order.
Children are active learners and that learning primarily takes place through play. It provides children with the opportunity to develop emotionally, socially, physically and cognitively. The progress is monitored according to the children’s individual needs and abilities, as the curriculum states that ‘Every child is Unique’
